As the third largest city in NSW, Council services a population of over 218,000 people who live, work and play in a vibrant natural environment from the mountain escarpment to the coast.
Joining the Welcoming Cities network supports the Our Wollongong 2028 Community Strategic Plan goals to build a connected and engaged community and creative and vibrant city. Wollongong has a strong diverse local culture with one in five residents born overseas and now choosing to call Wollongong home.
