A Sign of Respect gives individuals and businesses a simple, practical way to show respect and value for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture in their neighbourhood. Whilst
a vast majority of Australians want to close the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous
Australians most do not know how to support this relationship.
The A Sign of Respect sign is designed to be placed by community members and local businesses on their fence or window, as an important way to symbolically and publically recognise First Nations people as traditional owners of their lands and waters, for example, Kaurna country.
A Sign of Respect is a community-driven social enterprise that achieves social impact sustainably. Royalties are paid to the artists engaged to create the signs, which are manufactured by an Indigenous-owned business.
